Will Arnett Talks New TV Show's 'Oscar Buzz' On Letterman (VIDEO)

The always funny Will Arnett appeared on "The Late Show" last night to talk about his upcoming show on FOX, "Running Wilde." Arnett told Letterman about his hopes for the show he created with former "Arrested Development" creator Mitchell Hurwitz, and that due to Letterman's band leader Paul Shaffer's cameo, it's actually generating some "Oscar buzz."

While it's unlikely that "Running Wilde" will be the first TV show to win an Oscar, the clip Arnett showed of Shaffer's cameo looked promising. Arnett also said he plans to take credit if the show does well, but says "if it tanks, it's somebody else's show." Sorry, Mitch!

I hope his show does well but I also hope he shows up as Devon Banks on 30 Rock some more. His low-gravely-voice duels with Alec Baldwin are hilarious.

With only 4 million viewers tuning in this past Tuesday, it's starting to look like Running Wilde might already be doomed for cancellation. Probably due to how mediocre the pilot episode was, although the two subsequent episodes were hilarious

On the bright side, Raising Hope is just as hilarious (if not more so) and has done so well that Fox just picked it up for a full 22-episode season.

I don't know about Running Wilde (which I'm looking forward to), but I can tell you one movie that should win an Oscar: the Arrested Development movie.

Assuming it ever comes out.
