Ground Zero

ZSpace:

After all, there is scarcely a square foot of land upon which we tread that is not, for someone, Ground Zero. I am sitting atop one now: a killing field for Cherokee, Chickasaw, Choctaw and Creek; a graveyard in which are buried the bones -- and if no longer the bones, then surely the dust -- of peoples whose evisceration occurred not so long ago, and is still remembered by those who have not the luxury of forgetting.

Let's imagine that a group of Christian terrorist blows up two of the largest buildings in downtown Jeddah Saudi Arabia, killing thousands of Saudi's. Then, several years later, a Christian group decides to build a church near that same site. Who in the world would support their cause???????------
Of course everyone knows that this hypothetical could never happen, because
1. Saudi Arabia does not allow churches or freedom of religion in their country
2. There are no Christian terrorists, ---and
3. If it ever did happen, Christians of the world would stand united against the insensitivity of building a church near a site where terrorism was committed in the name of Christianity

Tim Wise is a fraud.

While I totally agree with Mr. Wise that the mosque should be allowed, as usual Mr Wise displays his hypocrisy. There are many sites in the US that the American Indian hold as sacred and are currently in dispute because of plans to "desecrate" them. I'm unaware of Mr Wise posing any objection to the outrage and protests by the American Indian community. Of course there is no money to be made in giving lectures about how the American Indians are being overly sensitive so Mr. Wise has no interest in them.
