LFO was an awesome band and my heart and prayers go out to his family and anyone suffering from this disease.

I loved LFO and loved Rich since they first came out and I saw them when they were opening for another group at the time they were first coming out. I thought to myself..What a good looking guy and loved their catchy songs, even though they were lighthearted with no deep meaning. They were just fun songs to make you smile. He had been suffering from Leukemia since 2005 and it is so sad as five years is the remission mark where you can finally take a deep breath and think that you have beaten this disease. I am always sad when anyone, especially someone so young, dies of cancer, but its even more heartbreaking to me when its after the fifth year. Of course may not recognize Rich from the picture shown by HPost in the article as you can tell he had been on steroids, probably prednisone, for his illness. It can bloat a person until they are unrecognizable. Looking at pictures of him even a year ago, you can tell a huge difference as he was not bloated.
He was a great guy with a good attitude who made me smile. I lost a friend 29 years old recently suddenly to a blood clot and its heartbreaking. RIP sweet Rich..you will be missed by so many.
Sad to see one of my celeb crushes are gone but no more pain.

So sad... God bless his family.

I loved this song when I was 16. I really thought it was written about me. :)

Cute video and fun song - reminds me of the days at shore even though I'm quite a bit older than this group. Some things never change. Summer girls come and go, everyone starts looking for a boyfriend/girlfriend for the winter.

Very sad news to here that he lost his battle with leukemia. Condolences to his family and friends.

This is so sad. I remember meeting him in my teeny bopper days at a signing. He was always the cutest and nicest one. Shame how sick and different he looked towards the end and what a tragedy to lose his life at 35. At least he was able to reach some of his dreams before passing...my heart goes out to his family and friends for this terrible loss.

My thoughts go out to his family and friends.  Taken too young.

Earlier in the year, a friend and I were comparing songs with horrible lyrics and I brought this one into the conversation.  Though it never fails to make me smile.  I watched him on that short-lived VH1 show "Mission: Manband".  I really liked him, the others... not so much.

To me there is no one that looks like the photo in that video, tell me the marker in the video where he appears, thanks.

I remember him from that horrid VH1 show Mission: Man Band. He has a really good attitude and seemed like a good guy. RIP.
