After stepping out in a shorts suit on Wednesday, Spain's Princess Letizia went the whole nine yards (of fabric), donning a navy pantsuit to visit Onda Cero Radio on Thursday. She paired it with matching heels, a white button-down and an ornate necklace and carried an oversized clutch. Take a look and tell us what you think.

Oh thank God I found this. For a second I thought I would have to go a whole day without a princess Letiziass story. Thanks huff-p-o, can alway count on you to publish the mundane.

Usually love her clothes but this is not great. Almost always love her shoes- anyone know what designers she wears?

She always wear Spanish designers also in her feet:

her flats are from PRETTY BALLERINAS & MASCARÓ

http://www.mascaro.com/

her sandals and boots are from PURA LOPEZ & GINO VAELLO

but sometimes she also wears MAGRIT, ARMAND BASI, MUXART, PACO GIL

Will someone please explain to me why this woman's fashion choice is a topic on HuffPo every single week?

Why in the world would anybody care about what a Spanish "princess" (gag) is wearing?

This woman would look great in a kitchen towel. A natural beauty. And most of her wardrobe (that I've seen) is classic with an occasional funky twist is even more appealing.

Sharp ensemble, but woulda been better if slacks didn't display empty belt loops.

why can't she just wear normal every day clothes bought from target or something

Several people asked why the HuffPost covers Princess Letizia so much. Here are several possible reasons:

1. Princess Letizia is a very stylish woman (it's the "Style" section after all)
2. Princess Letizia wears Spanish fashion, which is not very commonly covered by American fashion press (What fun would it be for the American fashion press to cover someone who wears the top designers' designs that are splashed all over the ads in the US fashion magazines?)
3. Letizia is a royal princess but she has a very modern style, unlike the old-fashioned styles British royals wear (even Diana didn't switch to a more modern style until after her divorce)
4. Letizia is covered by photographers everywhere she goes and she has more public engagements than most royals and first ladies (HuffPost probably can get her photos from wire services almost daily)

I like her so I won't complain. I like seeing her photos, or her lovely family's. I adore her daughters.

It's part of the HuffPo business model? Fashion gets the views and click throughs.
08:01 PM on 09/10/2010
No, it's because, her acquired American citizenship notwithstanding, Arianna Huffington is a European with a European sensibility and set of interests.

There's something funny about the way the pants fit. But the rest of it's very nice.

Beautiful woman! Beautiful blouse! Beautiful suit! I have just one question. Why do HuffPo cover the Princess every day. I would love to see how others in the international community dress. Princess Letizia appears to be a beautiful, graceful royal, however, can we see some dignitaries from other countries.

And so it beings..... the deletions. Must've had a shift change or else somebody's hit their brooms for the night. Did you see my previous comment? I was very respectful and pointed out that there is an article on Bettina Wulff up right now, along with Uzbekistan's First Daughter, in addition to the recent fashion Face-Off.

No. I'm retired. Bored. And, unfortunately, have no life so I read most of the HuffPo stories. I'm not kicking the coverage. I just think that someone on HuffPo is obsessed with this woman.

And, yes, I see the coverage of the other first ladies or princesses.....but...not to this extent. I'm not mad. But, it seems that someone on HuffPo's staff is smitten with the Princess.

My friend in Barcelona told me that the tall, slim and very elegant southern Spaniard women I saw in the Catalan region specifically, are known to be overly weight-conscious and that this has led to a problem of excessive dieting by young girls. When I see Letizia, I can't help but think of that.
07:49 PM on 09/09/2010
So you're going to blame her because some of the girls in Spain are too thin? Maybe they could hit a happy medium between excessive dieting, and the excessive trend of larda@@ that we promote in this country.
08:21 PM on 09/09/2010
I was just remarking on a cultural trend in southern Spain and she is extremely tiny just like the women I saw. I was informed of this trend from someone who lives there.

I am not American but can't help noticing the opposite trend when I go to the US and see the huge number of obese people on the beach with equally huge containers of soft drinks and chips and snacking all day. Another lifestyle choice.

Is it politically incorrect to call it as it is now?

Your friend and you have absolutely no idea about Spanish life style...that is why you say all this ridiculous comments.
In Spain we have 9 month of summer, you can go to the beach and pratise sports aoutside almost every day.
We have MEDITERRANEAN DIET, including fresh vegetables and fruits, lots of fish, wine and olive oil, something that made us live longer than in other countries.
Our cities are completely diferent than American cities, you can move oround without using your car, and we move on foot and by bicycles...
And the most important thing we live outside the houses, in the bars and "terrazas", with friends till the morning...and of course the healthiest thing SIESTA...ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ

WE HAVE HEALTHY HABITS, WE DON´T NEED TO STARVE OURSELVES TO BE THIN...IT IS EASIER FOR US!!! ;p

You can say what you want. I've been there and she lives in Barcelona. She was referring to the Catalanian region.

Me?, I prefer Bettina Wulff. She's beautiful but she also comes across as a serious woman, not just a clothes horse.

Letizia has a degree in Information Sciences and a Masters in Audiovisual Journalism. She has worked for a variety of newspapers and TV channels including Bloomberg, CNN d TVE.

She covered the 2000 US Presidential elections, the September 11th attacks, the Iraq War and the Galicia ecological crisis.

Letizia is just as accomplished as Bettina, if not more so.
