Christine O'Donnell, Tea Party-Backed Candidate, Tells GOP Rival: 'Get Your Man-Pants On' (AUDIO)

Christine Odonnell Mike Castle Unmanly
Christine O'Donnell, Tea Party-Backed Candidate, Tells GOP Rival: 'Get Your Man-Pants On'

With Delaware's Republican Senate primary just days away, Tea Party-backed contender Christine O'Donnell is impugning the masculinity of GOP rival U.S. Rep. Mike Castle.

In an interview with conservative radio host Mark Levin, O'Donnell called on her opponent "get your man-pants on" in the contentious election fight.

The comment came in response to news that the state Republican party of Delaware -- a firm supporter of Castle's campaign -- filed a complaint with the Federal Election Commission accusing O'Donnell of breaking the law in coordinating her political operation with the Tea Party Express.

O'Donnell blasted the legal action as "cheap, underhanded," and "unmanly." She added, however, that she would expect no less from "Obama's favorite Republican -- Mike Castle."

The conservative Senate candidate concluded: "Mike this is not a bake-off. Get your man-pants on."

O'Donnell began the interview by expressing her delight over securing Sarah Palin's endorsement earlier this week. The underdog candidate said that the former Alaska Governor's nod came as "an infusion of fresh energy" to her campaign.

What a cunning stunt. As part of her $6.9 million (he he 6-9) sexual discrimination lawsuit aainst her former employer was a complaint that a male coworker told her to "strap it on." She found this offensive and demeaning. How is her suggestion that Mike Castle is a cross-dressing sissy any different than what she thought was worth a share of 69 hundred thousand dollars?

Bake-offs? Man-pants (or the implied lack thereof)? Unmanly?

Gee, what's she trying to say? What narrow definition of appropriate gender roles is she using to define her opponent?

And will such a tactic, which seems to rest on an assumed, shared homophobia in her right-wing audience, work? Yes, sadly, it probably will.

So, she denies any complicity in the rumors that he's gay, but then teases him in emasculating ways: he thinks the election is a "bake-off" and he isn't wearing "man-pants."

No, that doesn't perpetuate the rumors at all. Thanks for rising above rumor-mongering and low blows, Miss O'Donnell!

Oh, and thanks for resisting the urge to bear false witness, too!

O'Donnell has done an excellent job of showing the mean spirit and vitriol that has come to be associated with the modern conservative movement. Bake-off/man-pants?! This is the caliber of representation a large portion of Americans want? Does this sound like a person who can work in an objective forum of parliamentary rules and procedures? Sounds to me like she got her big girl pants in a bunch.

Well, it's working. PPP just released a poll, showing that she's pulled ahead of Castle.

No, you are mean spirited people who will not govern effectively because you are driven by anger. Your comment on further proves my point.

"Nanny staters" .  You're a joke.  You people are always whining about big government in your personal lives and you never acknowlege the fact that when the GOP is in charge they not only want big government in your life they want to bring big religion and big business with them.  And this wackaloon is one of the biggest nanny staters ever she doesn't even think people should be allowed to mastubate in the privacy of their own homes.  Get a clue.

Christine Odonnell seems to have lied about everything in her life. This woman is a joke. No wonder Sarah Palin endorsed her.

"The conservative Senate candidate concluded: 'Mike this is not a bake-off. Get your man-pants on.'"

Really, Christine? If he said "This is not a bake-off" to a you, you'd be playing the wounded conservative woman card. I actually hope you win the primary because I'm confident that the majority of Delaware voters would have the good sense not to send you to Washington.
