Meghan McCain has been stirring up controversy with her new book, "Dirty Sexy Politics," which tells the story of the 2008 presidential campaign through the eyes of a nominee's daughter.

McCain made a visit to the "Daily Show" on Thursday, telling host Jon Stewart that she wanted her dad to pick Joe Lieberman as his running mate. Instead, GOP nominee John McCain picked Sarah Palin.

The younger McCain has already railed against Palin on TV this week, so this time she took aim at a fellow campaign daughter -- Bristol Palin. When Stewart suggested that McCain was hard on herself in the book, she replied:

"I was not on my best behavior the whole time. I wasn't always acting like I should. But when you're sent to an image consultant and it's said that you look like a stripper and you talk bad and you're hurting the campaign, when there's a pregnant teen there, it does a little bit to your self esteem."

It was revealed that Bristol Palin was pregnant shortly after her mom was picked to run for vice president.

I don't agree with much Megahan supports, but neither she or her mother nedded to syick their necks out to support equality....and they did it any ways.
Meghan may want to speak to her LGBTs friends, NONE will be supporting Romney. He tried to sell himself as gay friendlier than Teddy Kennedy, and even printed up his OWN pamphlet wishing LGBTs a Happy Pride celebration.
THEN he attacked EVERY LGBT  Read More...

i watched her speak on lawrence odonnel last night and lost all respect for her. i see her as knowing deep down what is right and wrong but still clinging to being republican and holding out hope that she can stay in the party and not separate. too much dissonance meg! and quit talking S&^% about lady gaga. you yourself said you dont believe in DADT but yet you condemn her for speaking out because she is a "musician and should stick to singing poker face'. ewwww! she is more credible and honest than you and has the ability to affect way more people that you. im sure you also would have wanted John Lennon to stick to singing and shut up about peace. wake up! non politicians are more trustworthy and integrous than politicians. and quit spouting out the right ideas but than finding a way to justify still being republican.....you will only give yourself a headache!

One thing you gotta love about America- it sure doesn't require anyone to have talent.
That's a very generous inclusive characteristic in a society. It will sit there in front of its Teevee and pay attention to dickwits, imbeciles, oafs, nincompoops, charlatans, snake-oil salesmen, ignoramuses, and bigots just as thought they knew what they were talking about and had something relevant to say

She's young, and probably a bit new to being in the limelight, and probably a bit nervous

How long can it be 'til Bristol Palin comes out with a book? I can suggest a title, if she's interested: "Bristol's Knees, Together At Last".

She did better than Bristol, but let's face it, these girls would never go anywhere without a good dose of nepotism. I know a ton of brilliant students who also graduated from Columbia and write and speak much better than Little McCain here but they are not getting book deals or interviews on the Daily Show, are they?

It's nice to see a kid do better than his or her parent. This kid might not be the sharpest knife in the drawer, but compared to the parent who graduated 894th out of a class of 899, she looks like a genius.

Sounding like a Valley Girl and giggling like a school girl, she's the BEST that the Republican Party can offer?

Still better than 99% of them.

I'd rather have Valley Girl than DONCHA KNUW U BETTCHA!!!

Did she have a ghost writer or something? "...it's said that you look like a stripper and you talk bad..." Talk bad, wouldn't that be badly, or poorly? Where did she buy her diploma again?
01:24 AM on 09/29/2010
Sheesh, take it down a notch dude, she's young, and nervous, give her a break
04:24 AM on 09/13/2010
I'm tired of seeing her waving the republican banner. She is very juvenile and I think that she is doing all of this to make money.

Does Megan actually think that she's gonna change the GOP and make them mroe inclusive? FAT CHANCE!!

I watched her with Stewart. Talk about "Things that make you go HMMMMM."
05:42 AM on 09/13/2010
Even if her chances of making the Republican party more inclusive is extremely unlikely, and it is, it's still nice to see that their exist some people on the Right who have not completely lost their minds and who are willing to have a civil and rational conversation.

I don't get it. I see what you did there, and it still isn't funny. Yet you "lol!"
07:31 PM on 09/13/2010
no problem

some people can't "get" humor that isn't in alignment with their political worldview

i wouldn't worry about this flaw of yours, as (even though i'm sure its an annoying malady to have) there really isn't anything you can do to fix it

as such, just be aware that what you find funny or not isn't based on its actual funniness,
but rather it seems that the humor interpretation part of your brain, and the political part of your brain have become somehow intertwined.

their is no cure, of course...

the best way to deal with this unfortunate situation of yours is to keep any comments about what  is funny or not to yourself, as you are often likely to be have an inaccurate opinion on such matters

hope this helps, and i wish they best with your condition
