Spate Of New Apps For PDAs Help Weary Travelers (VIDEO)

A slew of new applications for smart phones are keeping travelers up-to-date faster than the airlines can. ABC News did a roundup of their favorite new apps available on phones, including Kayak.com, which is now available on the Droid, iPhone and Blackberry, giving travelers the ability to book flights and hotel rooms remotely.

Gate Guru is also available on all three PDAs; if you're in an airport you've never been before, or just feel like exploring, you can enter your terminal at an airport and find shops and restaurants easily.

Our personal favorite? The Car Finder app, which helps you pay your meter (it sends reminders to your phone) when you're out and about. Pretty cool.

I will be so glad when people finally realize that "cool" is such a trite, over-used, faux hipness attempt that the word is essentially meaningless, and stop using it!!!
