Brian Austin Green: Megan Fox Is 'My Better Half In Parenting'

Brian Austin Green opens up to Details magazine about being famous in the 90s, his foray into rapping and dating Megan Fox since she was 18.

Brian, 37, and Megan, now 24, wed in June and she recently complained that people can't grasp she is old enough to be married.

On Megan as a stepmom:

"She is absolutely my better half in parenting. She just gets it. It's instinctual for her. She loves my son, Kassius. And from the time we started dating--you know, she was 18--she stepped in and took control. It's unbelievable. At 18, I was like, 'Hey, which club is open tonight? And how cool do my pants look? Can I sneak a drink across the bar without getting caught?'"

On their 13-year age difference:

"When we met, I had just separated from Kash's mom and a relationship was the last thing on my mind. It's not something I ever thought would be serious. But she brought out parts of me that I had lost in my last relationship. I had come off of 90210, and I never wanted to leave my house. I was afraid of the press. I was afraid of people's opinions of me. I would walk into a Coffee Bean and not want to look the guy behind the counter in the eyes because I was afraid he was thinking, 'Oh, that's that ridiculous guy from 90210 who put out the hip-hop album.' Megan was a big part of boosting my confidence. And at the same time, I was somebody responsible and grounded for her to be around. We just matched."

On being less famous than Megan:

"I know the normal male thing is the man works and is successful and brings home the paycheck. I don't know who the hell set it up, but it's what people expect. I just don't care. I hated being famous during 90210. I'm not an extrovert. I'm 37. I have a beautiful wife. I have an amazing 8-year-old son. I love acting, but this is just my job. F**k, next year I could book some crazy movie that blows up and things could shift completely. And I guarantee you at that point she'll say, 'F**k, thank God. You go do all that shit now. I'm sick of it.'"

You guys be nice. I've seen them on several occasions and they are both so warm. Megan is an absolute sweetheart and Brian is really laid back cool. People in this town always want a scandal. These two are SOLID. No issues. The worst thing that can be said about them both is that they are quite normal.

I can't say anything bad because we've seen these two around town a couple of times and (1) my kid said 'hi' to Megan Fox and told her he liked Transformers and she was very nice and (2) This guy is very tall and has shoulders as wide as his wife is tall.

Why is it that a person with tattoos all over themselves always looks kind of dumb? Is it that the act of tattooing is a really dumb thing? Or is the person really dumb? Just wondering .......

Actually I don't hear a lot of gossip about these 2 or see them on the cover of tabloids ... at least nothing. I think they are pretty grounded and mature considering the attention-hungry "celebrities" that are always vying for the spotlight.

I hope they stay true and continue to have a happy marriage!

A few tattoos are ok and if they have a real personal meaning, I get it but these tattoos on him look stupid. He is washed up. He can't act worth beans.

I thought he was gay back when he was famous. If not gay, he seemed very wimpy. Maybe many did and he compensated by trying look tough by getting a bunch of tatoos.

Just saw him on an episode of "Smallville". Wow, when did he grow up to be so good looking? He was all knees and elbows on "90210". He'd be good in feature films.
