The Hill:

Despite the improved Republican chances for a takeover of the House, some unions are spending against Democratic incumbents who voted "no" on healthcare reform.

Because of Health Care Reform insurers are prohibited from setting lifetime limits and
annual limits. Just think if you had had a serious illness and the insurance company
said sorry we can not pay your bill you hit the limit. The rest of your cancer care will
have to be paid by you.

Republicans want to repeal this!

Insurance companies are now stopped from canceling policies after a policy holder
becomes sick. People were being canceled after paying for policies for years and
just when they got sick and started collecting the policy was cancelled.

Republicans want to repeal this!

Insurance policies will no longer be able to exclude children with preexisting conditions.

Republicans want to repeal this !

Democrats need to speak up and support the President and his policies that support
the middle class. It is time that Democrats be heard over the 24 hour
right wing informercial.

Democrats and independents need to support Democratic candidates
that support the middle class. It is time for Democrats to speak up and
not let their voices be drowned out by the 24 hour Republican infomercial

you can get insurance without lifetime limits now, you just have to pay for it. Now everyone will need to purchase the high end product at a higher cost.

If you want total freedom from government, go to Somalia. The only things lacking are health care, clean water and freedom from death by gunshot wounds.

Why do liberals think they are making a point by saying "Somalia?" Don't they see how silly it sounds?

The point of limited government is not to have no government, but to limit the scope and the role of a federal government. A government run healthcare program that intrudes into the lives of the citizens at the level of how they live their lives is too intrusive to fit in an American constitutional government, not to mention that it gives control of 26% of the GDP to government.

Is this what you voted for America? An administration that goes after people who dont agree with every little thing they do? An administration that gives tons of money to unions and then expects total compliance from its workers? I guess if you dont vote yes for Obama you dont work? Thats not an administration thats a regime.

Yes target them because theres no room for disagreement in a totalitarian regime, I can see them now goose stepping into peoples offices in their democrat jack boots. You didnt think Obama gave all that money to the unions for nothing did you?

You are funny Terry. The way I see it is that the for profit healthcare system we have is just not sustainable in the long run. Look at the crisis we have now with the high unemployment rate and most of those people are doing without healthcare. How high will it go in the future. The way I see it is that basic healthcare should not be a luxury only some people can afford. That is why other industrialized countries have government run healthcare. In this case, as in many others, the choice that the majority of nations have chosen is the right choice. I would say those that disagree will eventually be silenced by the inevitable.

Pelosi claimed that the passing of health care would create 400,000 immediate jobs in health care, LIE !

If the whole point is to cut spending on health care, why would more jobs be desirable? That would mean even more spending on health care. Democrats don’t seem to understand that labor and expense are connected. They seem to think that money and jobs are magically created.

Unions set sights on those who voted no and Voters set sights on those who voted yes.

How many of those who voted yes on the health care bill are using it in their campaign ads? NONE

Obama, for all his shorcomings, at least had the guts to tackle Healthcare at all. I have to give him that credit. What he did get accomplished is not that much and was an easy out (no cost control of Healthcare). In effect what he did is merely a postponement of dealing with the real problem. But at least he came to the plate and didn't totally strike out like most previous presidents. What is sad is that he views it as real change. His supporters, however, were not fooled and realized that he accomplished very little. His approval ratings didn't tank for no reason. We need serious change in Washington and Obama is not going to be the man to do it. He seems to be a man of compromise with a bias toward the corporate world rather than a vehicle for real change. His principles don't measure up to those he portrayed with his campaign rhetoric.

This will actually be a plus to have the unions be against him.

the rest of the country is setting our sights on all those who voted yes.

As the country and the Democrats who vtoed FOR health care reform run away from it, the SEIU is running into the abyss. Just how out of touch are these communists? Good luck. It's all you may have.

Any politician that stops comprehensive health care for all Americans should be targeted for termination.

Since we didn't get comprehensive health care, they should just go after those that opposed public option but they have decided to become a tool of the corporate democrats and force people to buy private health insurance, so they do what they are doing now.
02:23 PM on 09/14/2010
First off, It's not going to cover everyone, not even close. No union has a right to bully, protest, or do anything to someone who voted no on healthcare. Targeted for termination sounds like a threat?
