Climate Change Science Accepted By American Women More Than Men: Study

Ever wonder why it seems the most vocal climate change skeptics are men? A new study by Michigan State Univ. sociologist Aaron McCright, published in the journal Population and Environment says that women do tend to believe the scientific consensus that global warming is indeed happening and mostly caused by human activity more than men do.

This explains a lot. Somehow I feel most of the deniers don't even look at the scientific evidence. They just couldn't care less what happened to the rest of the world as long as they survived.

You can tell by their arguments in the comments section, riddled with put-downs, name-calling and such. Not an ounce of reasoned argument.

I'm almost afraid to say this , but maybe for the same reason more women voted for Obama. Maybe because (like liberals do in general) ,they usually base their decisions on emotion rather than logic ( like conservatives).Same reason most young people start out as leftys/dems, yet a large % of them (not all) eventually grow up after having responsibilities,family etc. They become a bit more conservative as they experience more in life. ( not all of course). We know that very,very few that start out as conservatives become liberal as they get older. You only learn more as you age, therefore that is why it reverses it self (to some extent) as people become older and hand in hand become "wiser". Flame away libs, but as you do tell me if you know more now than you did 3or 5 years ago. How about 10,15?

This answer is obvious. Men are more up to date on the science of AGW, for example, many of us men know about the 800 year lag of CO2 to temp in the ice core data, we know about the massaged temperature data, we know about climate-gate, and we know about the global government, the wealth redistribution (both within AND among nations), and the technology and technological know-how transfer from the north to the south.

How many women spend their time following this issue? I know of none, but I know many men who are aware of the many weaknesses of AGW.
