Nina Garcia: To Be Honest With You, I Haven't Seen Anna Wintour Being Carried Down Stairs

Nina Garcia has weighed in on her "Project Runway" co-star Tim Gunn's feud with Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour. In his new book, Gunn claims he saw Wintour's bodyguards carry her down five flights of stairs after a 2006 fashion show--a story he's stuck to during multiple on-air appearances, joking with Regis & Kelly that he's in a witness protection program thanks to Wintour's wrath and telling Jon Stewart that Conde Nast would be well-served by straitjackets.

Garcia talked to UsMagazine.com about the pair's riff, admitting, "To be honest with you, I haven't seen Anna being carried. I really have no comment about her being carried or not." She added, "She's a brilliant woman who has done great things for fashion...I am a big admirer of her and think she's done great things for the business."

The problem with Tim Gunn's claim is not that guards carrying Anna Wintour downstairs might have happened. Certainly it could have.

It's that I don't believe he, or anyone else, would have lingered in a stairwell for an entire five-flight descent in order to be able to say he witnessed it.

I doubt Tim Gunn would make up something so specific. 

Besides, Nina Garcia doesn't actually deny it, does she? She just says that she hasn't seen it.

That's it! Everyone seems to be petrified of Anna, and won't say a word against her. Why would Tim jeopardize his career to say a lie? If she is that powerful, I like Tim and I hope he'll be okay; As he's the best thing on "PR!"

Nina works for fashion magazine, of course she's sucking up to Anna, she might need a job at Vogue one day.

Its time for Anna to retire. US Vogue is boring and stale because of her, since she's completely out of touch. Just my two cents.

Anna is a sensuous looking woman who is very pretty with luscious lips. I do not know why she hides behind the big shades, which looks good and mysterious but is no match for her natural beauty. Even at her age she is a babe!
