Marchesa Spring 2011: Which Looks Are Ready For Award Season? (PHOTOS, POLL)

First Posted: 09/16/10 08:59 AM ET   Updated: 05/25/11 06:40 PM ET

Marchesa is one of the labels of choice for starlets on the red carpets during awards season--at last month's Emmys, both Kim Kardashian and Heidi Klum slipped into dresses made by Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig. The design duo revealed its Spring 2011 creations on Wednesday. Take a look and tell us which ensembles are winners (and who should wear them!) and which aren't ready for primetime.

Two nice, the rest hideous garbage.

Down goes the once popular House of Marchesa.

Dresses are gorgeous but some of the bodies underneath them are "screaming" for Food

Marchesa almost always gets it right but I am not sure about some of these dresses and #6 looks incredibly similar to lady bits.

I only saw two of the entire collection that even looked like dresses. Are they serious that these are fashions? Yuck.

I find the dresses to be quite beautiful. Sure, some of them aren't wearable, but I'm sure Lady Gaga will find a way around that, as she usually does.

These can't be serious designs for actual wearing. Some are stunning in concept and some miss the mark totally.

With some editing down some of these would be fabulous.

Based on what I saw on the Rachel Zoe Show, it appeared that Sandra Bullock's Oscar gown from Marchesa was edited down on the shoulder and it was lovely.

They just need to take some volume out of the skirts on #3, 4, 5 and 7 and they would work very well (celebrities don't like to look large). Number 12 works as is.

Good heavenly days! What a grouping of ugly gowns from a designer that specializes in elegant formal wear for women! You couldn't sit down in most of them and, if you did sit down, they'd pop up and slap you in the face. Marchesa, back to the drawing board! Please!

some have too much frills, but 1, 5,7, and 12 could work with alterations.

# 1 and # 3 are gorgeous, but practically impossible to wear I'd imagine. Usually Marchesa makes the most stunning formal wear, maybe you have to see these in person, having said that, take a miss folks, she's not at her best

Agree on 1 and 3. Too bad you'd have to take them off to sit down!

I'm not a fan of any of them and I'm sad about that.

I usually love Marchesa, but these are just awful. What woman want to hide her curves behind of all the fluff and sharp angles?
