The dragonfly is amazing.

I read somewhere that each dragonfly will eat hundreds of mosquitoes every day. They don't have lungs, and they breathe directly through their skin, so their size is limited by the amount of oxygen in the atmosphere. I read somewhere else that back when the oxygen content of the atmosphere was closer to 40% (vs. about 20% today), dragonflies got to be several feet in length. Amazing creatures, indeed.
