If Americans fall for this stunt again, then we deserve what we get. The Republicans broke many of the promises from the last Contract and this looks like a desperate attempt to show they have an agenda. They have an agenda, but its not positive. Senator Shelby of Ala already stated he wants to take a relook at the consumer protection on the Wall Street reform bill. I am not happy with the Democrats, but Republicans are dangerous. Americans, better wake up.

Make no mistake. The GOP's contract ON America will authoritatively command U S citizens to return to the contract with America that failed 16 years ago. In addition, the GOP's approach to social issues is to use the federal government to authoritatively command U S citizens to comply with the GOP's views of sexuality. The GOP will also use the federal government to authoritatively command every pregnant U S citizen to carry that pregnancy to term. The GOP will also withdraw health care from that pregnant U S citizen and baby. Make no mistake. The GOP wants to use the federal government to authoritatively command how you live your life.

Hope that Scooby-doo skateboarding Koran-snatcher shows up just as Boehner raises his "plan" in the air, snatches it from his orange hand and declares "Dude! You have no plan!"

How about that Paulson/Bush plan to save us that was three pages and no details except to give Paulson unlimited and unchecked authority over our treasury.

Isn't the definition of insanity doing exactly the same thing and expecting different results?

"Yeah but it will work this time!!"

Two more days and counting.  The excitement is killing me.  According to Rachel they should have legalization of marijuana as the number one item since that was the most popular thing.

Keep in mind that all this will be is the results of their polling. Nothing in it will actually be their own ideas not filtered through these poll results. No courage there, telling the American people exactly what they said they wanted to hear.

this is the same old broken ideas from the same old broken politicians on the right! they have NO new ideas, NO new candidates with new ideas, they deserve NO new jobs in washington! they can't fix the problems because they CAUSED the problems with smoke and mirror legislation that screwed the middle class out of good jobs, charged higher taxes to the middle class to pay for the rich tax breaks, calling it trickle down economics, when it was trickle-on the middle class! we're the ones who made the economy work, until they took away the work, and then it took 2 incomes to almost make up for the good paying job the right stole from us! (see nafta and all other stupid trade deals!)

Tax cuts. Increased defense spending. Legislated morality. Book burnings. The elimination of the minimum wage for anyone that makes 200,000 or less a year. A tiered minimum wage of bonuses for those that make 200,000 or more a year. 0% taxes for those that make 200,000 or more a year. Abortions illegal no matter the circumstance. Suppression of rights of anyone not a Catholic of Christian.

Did I miss anything that they would put in their contract with America?
