At the moment, directors being considered include Sam Mendes (Revolutionary Road), David Slade (The Twilight Saga: Eclipse), and Susanna White (Nanny McPhee Returns) with Gary Ross (Seabiscuit) rumored as the lead contender of the pack. Collins personally adapted the novel for the initial screenplay with collaborating screenwriter Billy Ray (State of Play) on staff to revise it.
