Maybe a little work towards net neutrality here would help them there ! A little like boycotting pedophelia and supporting the Catholic church isnt it ?

Remember folks, these are GOVERNMENT ORDERED BLOCKS.

It is good that they have put up this map to show who is blocking what where. It exposes the countries that are perpetrating censorship.

China is by far the worst. Their "Golden Shield" project locks citizens down big brother style and they have their own ministry dedicated to going after people who attempt to look up anything controversial.

I hope they count the content they are blocking here with insta-search feature turned on. You know, if not they would look like they're being Evil!

Their instant search censors nothing. Don't be a fool, try it for yourself.

Has anybody actually looked at this thing? The United States has more requests to block, remove or censor content than another other country in the world (except maybe china, which cant be viewed).

Does nobody see this as an issue??

I was just thinking the same thing. Also, many countries block Internet service altogether, so they have no need to ask Google to remove anything.

In google's description of the statistics, they indicate that these are not comprehensive numbers and that multiple requests to block the same information would each be counted.

That said, it is still more than a bit disturbing that the US leas the pack by far.
