Jon Stewart's 'Earth': Everything An Alien Tourist Needs To Know About The Planet After Human Beings Are Gone (PHOTOS)

Posted: Updated:

Today, the book that comedian Jon Stewart called "the most sweeping and detailed work about humanity yet put to paper" will be published by Grand Central Publishing/Hachette Book Group. And the book Stewart praises? His own: "The Daily Show With Jon Stewart Presents Earth (The Book): A Visitor's Guide to the Human Race."

What would a guide book to Earth for traveling aliens look like? Assuming that we're going to leave a destroyed and deserted planet, Stewart boils down human history and civilization into less than 300 pages. Since we can't print them all (that would be stealing), we're bringing you an even briefer account of humanity, in five slides and several hundred words. So what do you think? Are these fair impressions to leave aliens with?
