The Social Network Movie

businessinsider.com:

According to sources -- sources who despise Mark Zuckerberg and sources who admire him -- the only reason The Accidental Billionaires exists is because one of Mark's Facebook cofounders pitched the book to Mezrich in an attempt to permanently damage Mark's reputation.
[...] This is the story of how Eduardo got so angry at Mark -- how, from Eduardo's perspective, Mark screwed him out of a huge chunk of Facebook stock. It's also the story of how Mark solved an early problem at Facebook, one that could potentially have prevented the company from becoming the global behemoth it is today.

Facebook epitomizes everything that's wrong with America -- a whole lot of narcissistic self-absorbed shallow people who are convinced that the whole world revolves around them.

The irony is that people throw absolute fits about their personal privacy as they post about their every burp and fart online. Want personal privacy? Keep your personal life offline.

The only part of the description in the story that has not been verified by Zuckerburg's public actions in the sex part.

With all the people Mark Zuckerberg betrayed in the early days of starting Facebook, it isn't the least bit surprising that people would want revenge on a backstabber like him.

Who else can't wait to spend $10-12 bucks to watch this movie while 75% of the audience checks their Facebook page 19 times during the movie? Netflix--now THOSE people are my heroes.

No billionaire deserves this. How come we aren't looking out for this guys privacy?

He doesn't believe in privacy. I would say that start with not believing in his own.

If the corporate filings and sales deals to redistribute shares are observably true, then there's some merit in these accusations that Zuckerberg betrayed his supporters to gain wealth. They may have done their own insulting back through this movie; but, the paper trail, if it is there, implies that there may be some documentary truth to some of this ladder climbing.

Too bad he acted as though he couldn't do well with a little more class. I bet he could have gotten support from his friends and done a good job with leading the group if he had tried. Maybe it was too much for the world to expect out of him, in retrospect.

The money will eventually go its own way, but we have to live with ourselves in this life. If you have to betray people in order to get a paycheck, what are you doing with yourself? Surely, a Harvard education can prepare a young man for something a step up from confidence and betrayal in exchange for the promise of more money.

Or maybe not.

Bad call with being sneaky about selling out Zuckerberg's friend. I find that firing people to their face is often a tense and unattractive proposition. Yet, often things work out better for everyone if you have enough guts to tell them to their face in the first place. Everybody loses their job eventually. Including the people who do the firings.

The thing that's great is that if anyone from 7his 5ite had bothered to read the article, it would be clear that Zuckerberg himself didn't even make the quote in the headline. Not to say he's not a Deutschbazz...it's just not accurate. At all. More top notch journocatin', Huffsy!
