As with any social program they often times fall through the cracks. What is popular today may not be tomorrow as the politicians and the country move on to newer ideas. Foster care in this country today has become a back burner issue and unless people that can help the system do so it will not get any public notice.

Very important issue and yet only 4 comments. Sad state of affairs when an important issue like this is overshadowed by wanna be politicians practicing witchcraft in their teenage years

Thanks for putting this up HuffPo. Today Hill Leaders and "Real Housewife' Stacie Scott Turner will discuss educational stability for foster youth. New data on educational outcomes will be released at a press conference from 12-1 at the Capitol Visitor's Center - SVC215.

The Foster Care System in this country has barely changed since its inception back in the 1800s.
