Progressive is good; regressive, not so much.

My apologies, General Powell, since I have the greatest admiration for you that is possible and my admiration for President Clinton is muted slightly by his 'escapades' in the White House, but I have to say , General, you are wrong on this one. Understandably wrong, but wrong nevertheless.

That's ok Colin, you misrepresented the case for war before the UN. We've been at war for a decade thanks to that.

How does been thrown under the bus feel like, General? Ouchhhhh...

Shhhhhh . . .

You're not supposed to mention that abolishing DADT can be done with the stroke of a pen; you have to maintain the pretense that only a long, drawn-out process involving Congress and the approval of the JCS can accomplish that goal.

Jeez. With talk like that, one would think you actually want it abolished; and not just used as a political football for the campaign season.

It's not a permanent solution, nevertheless, at this point, I wish he would just stop the bleeding.

I wonder if Colin Powell is still walking around with his small vial of yellow powder in his pocket.

Colin Cancer Powell told a bold face lie at the United Nations. Why are we to believe him now?

Because Colin Powell (who I have zero respect for) was essentially ordered to lie by the administration he served; Bill Clinton (whom I have even less respect for) lies the way most people breathe.

A man with integrity wouldn't have lied, ordered to or not. Bill Clinton is a great man, and he was a great President.

Last I checked, those were two different events.

Whether he misrepresented the possible effect of DADT or not is irrelevant. Bill Clinton surely was made aware at some point in the following seven years how the policy was being implemented; yet he lifted not one finger to correct it or, better still, to abolish it. Why? Because he was in favor of it then, just as he's in favor of it now.

Come on General Powell, keep your mouth buttoned and don't pull a McCain. This is a Becky boi subject and if you keep jabbering about it you may loose what credibility you have left

Did Colon Power end up finding those mobile weapons labs he told the UN about?

If not, I wonder why he thinks he has any credibility?

What about your misrepresentations to Americans, and leaders of other nations, in the international gathering place of leaders, on February 5, 2003, that terrible, horrible, no good very bad day??? How 'bout that, Powell; was that blot on your record a misrepresenting, 'cause it sure seemed like lying to me, and I still remember that I could not see clearly through the tears as I drove to work, listening to you tell the world those words...

I believe Clinton admitted the error of his ways at the last Net-roots Nation gathering?

I saw Powell apologizing for Newt's hate speech.
For a decorated military vet, this guy has no backbone.

I'm going to have to go with Powell on this one, the ONLY Republican I ever would have voted for, if only he ran for President.  I still like Bill, it sounded like a good idea at the time, but clearly, it left a lot open to interpretation by terrified heteros and IT HAS GOT TO GO.

If all it takes to make you go to pieces is ONE gay guy, you have NO business defending MY country.
