Ida Cotton, 85-Year-Old, Left Homeless After Graduation Until Organization Lends A Hand

When unconventional college student 85-year-old Ida Cotton graduated from Cal State East Bay, she was no longer eligible for student housing.

KGO-TV reports Cotton faced homelessness, as one of the 3.4 million seniors living in poverty across America.

Cotton's story has a happy ending, with several organizations teaming up to help her find a spot at the local Altenheim Affordable Housing Community. Millions of others aren't so lucky.
