One of our favorite fashionistas Marion Cotillard covers this week's Italian Vanity Fair, and -- surprise! -- she reportedly hasn't been retouched. She was shot by photographer Bruce Weber and her dress is by Ralph Lauren. Take a look and tell us what you think.

Great photo, terrific actress.

Nothing like a Natural Woman! I love it, but on my computer I'm seeing a faint yellow and pink zebra type of pattern runing down her face, anyone else seeing that?

I see it too. It's called hyalation (not sure of the spelling) which occurs when the red, yellow, black and blue printing plates are not angled properly. They probably scanned an actual cover. They should have sent the cover image. This error may only be present on a few covers. It can correct itself in the process.

It is so refreshing to see a natural woman on the cover of a major magazine. She looks great. Her skin is glowing...I love the tossled look of the hair. This is what a photograph of a star should be.

I like the photo a lot. The only thing I do not care for is her hand being so prominent as I don't think her hand is particularly attractive. Some women have pretty hands and some do not. Had her hand been less obvious, I would have liked the photo even better.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, my friend. Ask yourself if you haven't bought into the long tapered manicured long nailed hands that society tells you are pretty.

I like her hand. Yes, it's prominent (aside from her stunning face, the next thing I noticed) but I love it. It's a solid, capable working hand. It's real.

She is great, smart and of good heart. I am a photographer but I have had to deal with models over the years and women in general who have gotten lost in all of this stuff. It has been my experience that the most beautiful women have what the magazines consider a flaw that needs to be removed in art work. It is too bad. I love this photo.

Is it me or does she look sad? Is that supposed to be some kind of angst on her face?

She's not sad, she's French.

I think it's a stereotype that French women are always walking around with that face.

Wonderful! It starts with one: More women who are in various public industries and who are against retouching, should take a stand by demanding the same for their print adds. How refreshing that would be.

It's a false point, the lighting and makeup contribute a great deal to this final product. People who are overly influenced by magazines will still come up feeling subpar. While I support the scaling back of photo shopping, the real problem is our cultural paradigm. We need to deemphasize the value we place on beauty and body type and redirect ourselves to being a health loving, peace and justice seeking society. It can be done, we currently have all the listed values, just in the wrong priority.

okay... I'll grant you, unretouched. But this goes to prove two things: 1. she is beautiful, and 2. lighting is an underrated art form!

Beautiful! She looks like she just woke up and sat up in bed.

....and saw me lying there, then ran screaming from the double-wide.

Beautiful, but the lighting on her hair isn't quite right. That's part of the beauty of post processing now. It's not only for cleaning up the model, it is also to correct the photograph.

The hair looks terrible...dry and brittle. But her face more than makes up for it. Just beautiful.

I didn't realize how innocent looking she is. These pics definitely make her shine.
