Marmont Ave. Spanish-Style Designed By S. Charles Lee

Via Curbed LA: Besides the usual four bedrooms and three bathrooms, the front door of this Hollywood Hills home is framed by an oval turret. The Spanish-style home was designed by architect S. Charles Lee in 1926, best known for his theater designs; John Edward Powell notes that he's "credited with designing over 400 theaters throughout California and Mexico." Curbed LA lists some of S. Charles Lee's more well-known Los Angeles projects: "the Hollywood-Western Building, the Los Angeles Theatre, and the Hollywood Melrose Hotel."
