Perhaps it's the idea that fall is here, but we're dreaming of going back to the beach. Every one has an opinion on their favorite beach or the most beautiful beach or even the worst beach.

Earlier this spring, we released a list of the most beautiful beaches. Today we release a new edition with 18 our favorites.

sorry - lived near Santa Monica Beach for years - who put this list together. What a farce.

There are many beautiful beaches in California - Santa Monica is not one of them.

Should have tried to pick two or three beaches from each continent. Having one beach from Australia is ridiculous. Missing Brazil is insane. Having half of them in North America - ludicrous.

go to Indonesia then u'll see thousands of nice beaches........such as the ones in Bali, West Sumatra, Maluku, Papua & West Papua......the list above don't compare!!

This list is rubbish! 90 percent of the best beaches are in North and Central America?!?! I wish that were true, but it most certainly is not. Rubbish!

Senora Filoso, from my perception, it is good they didn't include beaches from Brasil. Let the turistas have Ipanema and Copacabana. You and I can enjoy the rest of the vast coastline to ourselves. Some secrets, should remain secrets. Oh...and beijos & fanned.

They are all beautiful, but they forgot my favorite, Trunk Bay, on St. John's, US Virgin Islands. See the photos and I hope you will agree and enjoy.

*sigh* Oh, St. John's, what a beautiful island! Not a single beach there that wasn't fantastic. We stayed on St. Thomas and frequently took the ferry over to St. John's. Wonderful memories!

Also Jost Van Dyke, British Virgin Islands - check out the Soggy Dollar Bar Webcam - one of our faves. Also agree that St John has some of the most beautiful we have seen, outside of the Riviera Maya coast of Mexico.

Beaches smeaches.....in Toronto we just broke a record by 3 degrees. It his 30 degrees at noon.......and climbing!!!!!!!!!!! OK the turquoise beaches do look awesome. :))
