Versace Spring/Summer 2011 Reinvents Dress Shapes (PHOTOS, POLL)

First Posted: 09/24/10 05:14 PM ET   Updated: 05/25/11 06:50 PM ET

Versace presented its Spring/Summer 2011 collection in Milan on Friday and the garments showcased the keywork motifs of antiquity paired with sleek and unique summer silhouettes. It's all so lovely, it's almost enough to make us wish summer were starting all over again. Take a look and tell us which of the ensembles you're into.

Smiles give you wrinkles so models don't have to smile (or ought not to). The test of a dress ought to be the dress itself and not the winsome demeanor of the model. The models are only there as the human "model" for wearing and showcasing the dress. It is therefore necessary that they represent the best in human kind : slim, tall and beautiful. In other words they ought not to diminish perhaps the clothing by being ugly (they can be pretty) but they cannot affect opinions about the clothing by smiling or writing a poem on a dress or spreading propaganda pamphlets on it. These are all nice dresses #11 being my favorite. One wishes all women were so BUT also very loving and affectionate because otherwise it would all be for nothing.

LOVE #15, 17 and 18, but those models are SO painful to look at. Malnourishment is ugly!

Thse are (mostly) exquisite...the patterns are intricate, but the outcome is lovely simplicity.

Several of the dresses are very attractive, but I'm too old unfortunately to wear most of them. I like the top of #10 and #13 and think I could wear those. Both are quite simple, with the trims making them very pretty. The red dress is fabulous for those with toned arms.

These are great classic styles and will translate well into "real women have curves" styles. I love the red fitted A-line with gold graphics.

Also love the long fringe evening gowns.

Models are there to show the clothes, not their personalities, so they often have "mannequin" expressions.

Some pretty dresses, but all the models look sad or angry. They're either really hungry, or have massive headaches because their hair has been pulled back so tight it's about to be pulled out of their heads.

If all you had today was a half of a rice cake, you'd be miserable, too! :-)

In all fairness, it's not only half rice cakes; they eat cotton balls, as well. ;)

As a curvy woman it is very difficult to imagine my body in any of these dresses. Perhaps some of the knee length designs would be flattering, it would be more helpful if I could see these on a woman with an average sized frame.

These will translate very well for curves -- and the sleek A-line can be the most forgiving sillouette. Yes, length, sleeves or a jacket. Also imagine them as separates, tops and skirts and pants with jackets.

Love the long fringe -- in retail it would be used as an accent.

I wish they would just look a bit nicer. I wish they would just stop looking so angry and mean.
