Plus they fed me an overpriced steak the night before which may have been the worst prepared, grizzley steak I have ever eaten. Service was also sub par. How did this place make top 500?

Hotel Hershey is a ripoff. As a guest they charged me $5.50 for two cups of coffee. The rooms are small and outdated and to top it off, your in the middle of nowhere

So, I am in my second year of unemployment and will likely do it for another year (over 50) according to a story in the NYT. The pics of these spas is just what I need to remind myself of the vast chasm in job holders vs. job seekers in the USA. Enjoy your spas everyone and keep fighting off those tax increases that will create employment opportunities.

Since when do taxes create jobs? borrowing from peter to pay paul is a zero sum game - except you have to also factor in the lost opportunity of what could have been and the interest paid.
07:47 PM on 09/25/2010
I respectfully disagree, taxes do create jobs. Here is my reply I also made below:------------------- I am out of work too and the tax increases will only be for the mega wealthy (If they made their money honestly I am very proud of them they deserve it, but they don't need a big break and the small increase is not unfair to them). The extra tax dollars we get (est, close to 3 Trillion) will help create jobs, our economy, help our military, help our children, help our seniors, help our.... It goes on and on... I want to help our children, our seniors, my neighbors, my fellow citizens and I think the blessed wealthy do to!

Taxes create many jobs and always have. Defense spending creates millions of jobs. Fixing infrastructure creates millions of jobs. A billionaire sitting on his billions creates no jobs or jobs in China.

The wealthy deserve to pay more taxes because they utilize a far greater of government services than the average person. When was the last time you or anyone you know used the copyright office or the patent office? They rich use those all the time to protect their products. They also use the FAA because their goods get around via Fed Ex and UPS. Then their products hit the roads on highways maintained by tax dollars. When you add in sales taxes and other government fees, the wealthy are paying far less in taxes as a percentage of their income than the average American. It is time they pay their fair share. It will not hurt them one bit; it didn't when Clinton was in office. If we can use those extra funds to jumpstart the economy, they will make MORE money.

Didn't mean to be insensitive, just a policy disagreement. I wish you the best of luck finding something, I know how bad the job market is out there personally.

This is mean but I would choose a California Spa over a South Carolina Spa anyday and I base this on the politics of each state. I'd rather spend my money in a more left leaning state.

To OldPirate...can't find your comment here but you do have a point, every state has some wonderful parts/places/people. Heck I'm from beautiful Colorado and we have Tom Tancredo and Focus on the Family to name a few whackies! I still say when given the choice I prefer to spend my money in more tolerant left leaning states. If I ever move from here I'd like to go to California.

Welcome to California!

Everyone should have a spa day at least once a month. Think of all the stress reduction.

Sort of misleading as these are only resorts in the continental US. No resorts from Hawaii - like Kona Village, or the Marriotts on Kauai and Maui.

Although Post Ranch absolutely deserves its Number One placement.

I thought the one in Atlantic City was breathtaking. Montage does look good, but doesn't hold up as a spa. Two Bunch Palms in Palm Springs is a great spa and hang out, mainly b/c of their policy which discourages noise and encourages talking very softly, plus some very innovative spa treatments. The Inn at Morro Bay is also very pleasant b/c they treat their clients so well.
I also like a funky nudist place with natureal hot springs way out in Willets Ca. And, funkiest of all, the natural hot springs at Camp Preventorium(!) near Redding CA. Funky can be such fun!
California is a big time spa place.
