Lady Gaga & Armani Strike Multimillion Dollar Deal

First Posted: 09/27/2010 3:49 pm Updated: 05/25/2011 5:50 pm

Lady Gaga and Giorgio Armani have agreed upon a multimillion dollar partnership, the Wall Street Journal reports. Roberta Armani, Giorgio's niece, told the newspaper, "A huge company like Giorgio Armani has the duty to always be alert to trends and what appeals to young people. It helped to see how the world is through Lady Gaga, the way she uses Facebook and Twitter."

Armani doesn't design ensembles specifically for an individual, even if it's a famous one like Cate Blanchett or Michelle Pfeiffer. However, he has created looks exclusively for Gaga to wear on "American Idol," to the Grammys, in her music video for "Alejandro" and to the MTV Video Music Awards.

Roberta added, "It wouldn't be possible to give Gaga a look from the collection because she wears pieces of art. It's theatrical."

According to the WSJ, Gaga and Giorgio have yet to meet. There was little elaboration on what the multimillion-dollar deal entails, other than Giorgio designing costumes for Gaga's next tour.

When I went to school, Zero Plus Zero equaled Zero.

Lady Gag Gag combines with an overpriced stuffed shirt, wow what a winning combo for the losers of the world.

Armani couldn't have found a better muse than lady gaga........original, inspiring and talented.. it's her time, it'll pass, but she's making the most of it..........it doesn't last forever, i applaud her ambition, her parents are smart helping her protect her enterprises...once she does things to please the masses? it'll be her demise...she has to keep creating for herself..
doesn't matter if she's a little offensive along the way...can't please everyone all the time..
wish she'd hook up with eminem and have some "little slim shady monsters"......... lady gaga deserves some good love in her life...

People, I beg of you - please stop with the tanning booths. I see these photos of Giorgio Armani, John Boehner, George Hamilton, Snooki, etc. and I know I'm not the only one who thinks that what you've achieved does not look like a tan. Despite all of your efforts, you don't look like islanders. You look like microwaved radiation victims. Tan is a shade of brown. Burnt orange is not the new tan. It's just burnt orange.

Right on -- the look is pathetic and fake.

It's hard to take an orange person seriously. On Paris Hilton or a Lohan it's idiotic enough but it doesn't suit respectable designers like Armani, Valentino or Versace.

More liberal bias! John Boehner's complexion is as natural as can be!

The only thing that will match that tan is an orange jumpsuit...

Wow, I can imagine all the ladies who lunch and can afford Armani storming the racks once they know Gaga is endorsing. Not!

It's an amazing dress. I wonder who designed it. It's totally out of the box and appealing, too, with a kind of mystical feel to it.
