'National Enquirer': Rachael Ray To Launch Food Trucks

In 2009, known burger aficionado Rachael Ray said she hoped to open a hamburger restaurant in 2010 -- and now rumors are going around that she's looking into opening several food trucks in major cities like New York, Los Angeles, and Chicago next year. Could these be the same project?

Her images on magazine covers, along with Paula Deen's, are found to be attractive by a certain demographic of middle-aged women whose greatest dreams are to look Just Like Them when serving up yet another bland Thanksgiving dinner out of cans.

A thousand years from now, after the coming environmental apocalypse, ragged and starving mothers will use the threat of Rachael Ray to frighten their surviving children into eating their boiled skunk cabbage. The promise of those children's moans of terror are all I need.

F&F - learning to cook was one of the best things I ever did. I use chefs and recipes for ideas and inspiration, but to say that Rachel Ray is anything beyond a gimmick is just...

Rachel Ray is to food trucks as Chef Boyardee is to tin cans.

I have tried her recipes - following the instructions to the letter (I am a fairly accomplished cook) and they came out horrible. Tried another recipe...same thing. Another one? Yep - it sucked too. I threw out the cookbook and ordered a pizza for dinner. Rachel, her irritating voice and her goofy "EVOO Extra Virgin Olive Oil" (abbreviate it OR say it - not both) along with her never-ending stream of sugary-goody-goody'ness and everything that goes along with her need to kindly turn out the kitchen lights, their fifteen minutes of fame have been over for a while now.

Blecch!!

I'm no Rachael Ray fan.For a while there she was looking completely exhausted and sounded like she'd been on a Jack Daniels and unfiltered Luckys bender. But I've been using her pasta e fagioli recipe for years. It's fast and easy and tastes a lot like Progresso pasta e fagioli, which I loved but has been discontinued.

Oh, and down with corporate/celebrity food trucks!
