Often times in this political climate, the media becomes a politician's worst nightmare.
Chicago Tribune columnist Eric Zorn is never shy about blasting a politician when he feels it is warranted, but Zorn had a cozy moment with the Democratic nominee for lieutenant governor this week. Gov. Pat Quinn's running mate, Sheila Simon, plays banjo in a band called Loose Gravel when she isn't busy campaigning or teaching law students at Southern Illinois University in Carbondale.
Simon ended up in the Tribune Tower Wednesday morning, and made some time for a dueling banjo session with Zorn, who has performed several times at the Old Town School of Folk Music in Lincoln Square.
