Jeff Zucker Exits NBC With Musical Tribute To All His Failed Shows (VIDEO)

First Posted: 09/30/10 09:24 AM ET Updated: 05/25/11 06:55 PM ET

NBC CEO Jeff Zucker hasn't had a great decade, and is now leaving the network having brought NBC's primetime ratings from first place to fourth place.

Zucker held a press conference to address his departure, but as Jimmy Kimmel showed last night, he was remarkably candid about the sheer number of shows that failed under his tenure as CEO. In fact, he put together a hilarious musical tribute that will startle you with just how terrible some of these shows really were.

It doesn't get much worse than "The Baby Borrowers," does it?

Baby Borrowers is rip off of a BBC show.

If you go back and look, so many great shows were passed over by one network for a total dog, and picked up by another. One laugher off the top of my head was CBS passing up Star Trek for Lost in Space. I think it was NBC that turned down CSI! CSI just barely made it onto the CBS schedule as it was, and the big shots didn't expect it to last long, maybe 13 and out. I used to watch unsold pilots on my satellite dish years ago, and I couldn't believe some of the great shows that never made it to air! There was a show about a family who had one son who was a mafia underboss, and the other son was a goody two shoes DA. It was really good, and of course, it disappeared. I couldn't believe it.

HBO turned down "Mad Men", so they aren't really much better than the broadcast networks.

I think a dart board, or a "Magic 8 Ball" would do just as good a job as the execs at picking shows.

I think I kinda remember liking Baby Borrowers... Was I the only one that thought it was a good show? Well, I was just a high school kid so i'm sure that may have had something to do with my opinion.

Wow, didn't know there were so many of them. After Friends & ER, they really didn't have much left except the Law & Order series, talent & weight-loss shows. I liked My Name is Earl. I still adore Chuck. & why did they cancel Medium (w/c was then picked up by CBS)? Is it true the script for Desperate Housewives (or another hit series at ABC) was first offered to them? But his greatest failure was the Jay Leno/Conan O'Brien shuffle.

Now I'm more certain of why I have an allergic reaction to this chump, albeit a scamming rich one.

Is there an Emmy classification for that video?

Some of these things have been great-check out the alternative endings to "LOST" video.

Both are classics.

I am not sure the producers of "The Men's Room" would agree.

I was always hoping that Hayden Panettiere and Milo Ventimiglia would get married, and that she would hyphenate, but, alas, we can't always get what we want.

I'm no fan of Zucker but every time I hear about how terrible NBC is doing I can't really understand how. Truth be told most of the best comedies are on NBC with the exception of Modern Family.

And by the way, bring back Journeyman.

Journeyman was a lot of fun. Too bad it went away.

I agree. They lose because they don't have the dancing with the stars or the bachelor or American Idol bs that the other networks have. It's sad.

The Australian Kath & Kim is soooo good. Yeah, some shows just shouldn't be touched, haha

It took NBC (or American TV in general) to ruin a fabulous show like "Coupling," Watch the original British series on Netflix. The last season (season 4) was sort of a let down, but the rest were absolutely some of the funniest TV ever.

At least one or two of those shows on the list were, at the very least, watchable.
The first year of Heroes rocked... (the next three, not so much).

Heroes might have wandered off the rails a bit, but I still watched every episode. Something quirky always happened to pique my interest.

That is NOT Jeff Zucker. It's an actor playing him. Perhaps Huff Post is resorting to their own style of truthiness.
