Today is the 28th birthday of Epcot Center, a place that seems eternal but apparently has only been around just short of 3 decades. ABC found footage from their vault from the day Epcot opened, watch it below.
Epcot cost Disney $1 billion to build (which seems like a small sum now). It was a first for the kid-centric company, as it was catering specifically to an adult audience (they even started serving alcohol to bring in the grownups!).
Tickets at the time were only $15; now tickets for people over the age of 10 are $87.
What do you think of Epcot? What are your memories?
