The Strangest (And Most Hilarious) Employee Training Videos (VIDEO)

First Posted: 10/02/10 10:35 AM ET   Updated: 05/25/11 06:55 PM ET

In the early 1990s, when workers at Wendy's showed up for their first day on the job, they were shown a series of instructional music videos that even those outside the food industry must see. (h/t thisblogrules.com)

"Pour it in until the coffee reaches the line, pop a top on it, and seal it every time -- Wendy's coffee tastes so fine! Hot drinks really gets you going," sings a Bobby Brown look-alike in a Wendy's three-minute tour de force investigation into the rigorous art of how to pour coffee into a cup.

Below, we've compiled some of the strangest -- and most unintentionally hilarious -- training videos out there. Which is you favorite? Check them out and vote below:

"Spray Lysol Disinfectant to keep it fresh"

I wonder how many brain cells "keeping it fresh" costs?

Oh, GOD - I watched these imagining I was an employee having to take it seriously.

They take on a whole new level of lunacy.

The "McC" ad is horrifying. It's good to have a job, of course, but I just don't think I could muster up the gumption to be THAT enthusiastic about washing a McDonald's parking lot.

I worked at Wendys and we never had anything training that was fun--30 years ago. Secondly, the Chuck. E. Cheese video was cool.

This is what first drew me to the Wendy's hilarity. Watching them again brought back memories of actually being shown them circa spring 1997, when I regrettably worked at Wendy's for a few months. Great food, and I can say that their practices are pretty efficient and VERY clean, but it was the Job From Hell. Fast food workers have it ROUGH.

Yeah, I used to work at McDonald's in my early college days. It was pretty rough. Sidenote,I won't eat fast food to this day.

These are stupid, no doubt, but I bet anybody who saw that Wendy's one will remember forever how to make a Wendy's cup of coffee.

You'd be lucky to get paid to dress up as a rat in today's economy. Luckily everyone is a rat in the world of working slave wages to at least afford food!

This is the funniest faux training video you will ever see. German forklift training film.

It starts off dead serious, and goes downhill from there.

I guarantee you will be in tears by the end.

Oh my god, thank you! That is the most hilarious video I've seen in a long time.

Yes, after painstakingly buffing windows, scrubbing toilets and spending half-an-hour face down in a filthy garbage can reeking of ketchup and cow-flesh for a paltry $7.00/hr., there before your astonished eyes will appear the beaten-down image of a thoroughly whipped McC-hump. Now back to work, peon, before Ronald has to take you down to clown town.

What about the Southwest airlines, "Just Plane Fun" video? Maybe because it is not instructional? Come to think of it, I have no idea what the heck that video is for!

The funniest training video I had to watch wasn't from an employer. I was going to work for a fast food restaurant in high school and the city requited a health department certification. To get certified, every food service worker had to watch a video with Jack the Germ. It looked like something you would show to 1st graders.
