Mark Zuckerberg On 'The Simpsons': Facebook CEO Jokes About Dropping Out Of Harvard (VIDEO)

Huffington Post

While "The Social Network" has people wondering who the real Mark Zuckerberg is, last night on "The Simpsons," we got to hear about Zuckerberg's life from the man himself - albeit in "yellow" form. Joining a long list of celebrity guest voices, Zuckerberg's most notable moment on the show was when he joked about his lack of education.

When Lisa brings Nelson to an entrepreneurial expo to prove that education is the way to make his new bike-fixing business succeed, the two run into Zuckerberg at a Facebook booth. Lisa asks him to explain to Nelson how higher learning helped him succeed, to which he admits that he dropped out of Harvard. Nelson approves, saying "Better earnin' than learnin'!"

"Hell yeah!" Zuckerberg says. "I'll get the best kind of degree -- honorary, baby!"

Lisa insists that he must be an exception, but Zuckerberg lists the likes of Bill Gates and Richard Bronson as fellow drop outs.

Wow!!! I logged into HuffPost for the first time in months to get the liberal reaction to Rush Limbaugh's appearance on Family guy last night only to find there is no story on the site. Why is that?

Not only that but since it takes about a year to make a Simpsons episode it's pretty obvious that his "make him human" campaign was agreed to in a corporate office a long time ago. Even Huff post is involved.

It takes a year to make a Simpsons episode? Really?

I don't know about you, but if someone made a movie like 'the social network' about me, I'd try to make myself look more human

College isn't going to make you one of the super wealthy anyway, but it will keep you from working at the local grocery store for minimum wage.

Well, I'm not entirely sure about that, tnlcallen...
A friend of mine got one of those fancy student loans
(guaranTEED by the US government...)
went six years, busted his chops every inch of the way...and he failed.
Dang! Failed.
But, then he won the lottery and wow. Paid off his loan, got a new car, and we haven't seen him, since!
And I'm pretty sure he doesn't work at the grocery store.

Is it me, or did anyone notice the in the final shot Nelson was wearing his same attire he always does, yet he came in with something else. I love pointing out continuity errors. Also, I was looking on Mark Zuckerberg's facebook page and his top three friends are Moe, Dr. Hibbert, and Kent Brockman.

This was a very good episode showing the good and bad uses of credit. The Simpsons is at its best when it has a moral to the story.

I really liked the introduction of microloans to a mass audience via the segment featuring Mohammed Younis.

I don't fault anyone that would drop out of college knowing they will making millions, ie athletes, Zuckie, Gates, etc. People go to college to make money and make a better life for themselves. If you already have that or will have that, you don't need college. If you want to go to college anyways well thats your choice, congrats.
