Jill Biden Steps Out, Possibly Not In Blue (PHOTOS, POLL)

Dr. Jill Biden attended the White House Summit on Community Colleges on Tuesday...and she might not have worn blue...or black, her go-to colors. It's hard to tell what color the Second Lady's ensemble is due to the lighting, but we're calling it a deep purple. She paired the frock and matching sweater with a long necklace.

She's a class act. I think she dresses better than MO. I like Dr. Biden's grace, style, intelligence and confidence. I wish we'd see more of her. Joe's (can I call you Joe?) a lucky man. She is so poised. Just can't say enough good about her.

Finally, a woman that's aging naturally! I love it. She's gorgeous. I'm not a fan of crew necks or any outfit that looks like a twin set but she looks great.

She is that and a beautiful person, however, this outfit is a miss. The color is too severe and makes her look old and frumpy.

I don't think she looks frumpy. Remember that she's an educator and will dress more conservatively, so when she's teaching, she needs her students to pay attention to what she's saying, not what she's wearing.

I think it's more a "conservative" thing--as in people in certain businesses tend to dress a bit more conservatively. Depending on where you work, some colleges still tend to be "old-school" and expect profs to wear dark, professional suits. My sister has said the same thing about the law profession. There were just some firms where you couldn't get away with wearing a pant suit to an interview because women were "supposed" to wear skirts.
