I remember shooting (photographically) his very first French fashion show. He had the models on conveyor belts coming down the runway and the only lighting was by strobes constantly flashing which made for an interesting show but not one which could easily be photographed. I also remember that the offical French fashion group (Chambre Syndicale) shunned him and he held his show in a warehouse and drew the Press and big crowds away from the regular paris shows going on and he was not to well liked at that time by Chambre Syndicale fashion designers. His first show was a great success and one not easily forgotten.

I love his clothing. His vision is just incredible. But, heresy question, who would actually wear those things in a public setting? I don't see any of those things being sol.
