Samantha Geimer, Roman Polanski's Victim: I'm Glad He Is Free (VIDEO)

WATCH: Polanski's Rape Victim Is Glad He's Free

Samantha Geimer, the woman with whom Roman Polanski unlawful sex with in 1977, talked about her ordeal on 'Larry King Live' Thursday night. Geimer was only 13 when the incident took place. She said she has forgiven the director and is relieved that Switzerland denied a U.S. request to extradite Polanski this summer, in part because it would cause a bigger media circus to surround her.

"I think they did the right thing," she said. "I am happy they didn't extradite him. I don't want to see him go to trial."

Geimer hopes that the case against Polanski will be dropped.

"If people want to protect children, then right now there are children being trafficked online, in classified ads -- they should do something about things happening now," she said. "Going after Roman Polanski doesn't protect anybody. It just distracts maybe from more important things."
