Carl Paladino may not have many people sticking up for him after his anti-gay remarks before a group of Orthodox Jews on Sunday, but he has at least one supporter: Ann Coulter.

Speaking to Bill O'Reilly on Fox News Monday, Coulter said she felt the need to come to the Republican's defense after it seemed everyone else had stopped backing him.

"I think someone on this network should [defend him]," she said, calling Paladino a "great warrior" who wants to lower taxes.

Asked about the specifics of the speech — in which Paladino warned against letting children be "brainwashed" into thinking homosexuality is an "equally valid or successful option" — Coulter said the candidate was just giving his socially conservative audience the red meat it wanted.

"He's speaking to Hasidim...it's like being in Chicago. You say, 'Go Cubs,'" she said.

Coulter also claimed that Paladino had only been referring to "gay left-wing activists" in his speech, calling it "offensive" to suggest otherwise.

"That was the only thing he was condemning," she said.

"That's not all he did," O'Reilly countered.

"It is all he did!" Coulter said.

"I think everybody but you in the world agrees this ain't gonna help the guy," O'Reilly told her.

I heard that Ann Coulter is a cousin of radical Kansas City preacher Fred Phelps.

'"He's speaking to Hasidim...it's like being in Chicago. You say, 'Go Cubs,'" she said.' But you need to remember that there are Sox fans as well and remember to not read speeches that are written by the group that you are speaking to unless you believe it.

How would it sound if he had made the same statement about straight redneck preditors?
Would you protest his stand against sexual immorality?

Coulter defending Palidino seems quite natural, both Right wing corporatist Republicans , both bigots, natural. Coulter does make Paladino look pretty good though imagine her running for the Senate?? Gsussss

Ann Coulter, Carl Paladino and and Bill O'Reilly are all cut from the same cloth, in fact, I think medical experts would determine their condition as " Impacted Rectal Orfice
Synthrome, and there is no existing CURE and no RESEARCH pending.

O'Reilly was more intelligent in that joke of a show, "A Current Affair", but I salute him, remember he maintains an I.Q. in the upper reaches of the 30's, correction, 20's.

"He's speaking to Hasidim...it's like being in Chicago. You say, 'Go Cubs,'" she said.

That's the scariest part of the whole defense: Coulter is suggesting that Paladino doesn't necessarily *mean* all those nasty anti-gay remarks. He's just saying what the crowd in front of him wants to hear.

So, he's a d%che *and* a shallow, opportunistic, hypocrite.

And callous as Ann Coulter's heels in January. Even if he doesn't *mean* what he says, there are people out there who will believe him. And that is how teenagers end up killing themselves after a rough day of bullying.

She's nasty. Aside from all the lame ideas Anne Coulter has, the most unattractive part of her is that her personality is utterly trapped within her cerebral cortex. She can't stop spinning the squeaky little hamster wheel in her head. She can't stop her motor mouth.

She called the wives of some of the men lost to 9/11, whores. Her comment on them will never be forgiven by me. Anyone notice that if she carried a sythe she would look just like the Grim Reaper? Shudder at her ghoulishness.

Remember, this nut job also defended joe mccarthy and strom thurmond. She is an outlier and a major phobe - and it's easy to demonstrate.

Well, as a New Yorker, I like Paladino's proposal to cut taxes by 10%. And since the gay community makes approximately 10% of the population (give or take a few percentage points) and since Carl Paladino doesn't view the gay community as VALID, perhaps he should put OUR TAX MONEY where his mouth is and also view the gay community's tax money as not valid. That means if you're an "invalid gay" (according to Paladino), you don't have to pay the very valid taxes and that takes care of the 10% tax cut.

BTW, it's funny to watch "culture warriors" who spend the bulk of the career hating gays, Muslims and Mexicans all the sudden feel the need to pander to a portion of the gay community. What portion would that be, Bill O? The portion with with the huge amounts of disposable income and that is (because of GOP-inspired anti-gay policies) extremely well organized now.

This just shows that, as always, the GOP and their "culture warriors" never really cared about these issues. From abortion to gay marriage to flag burning and everything in between, these issues are used as a wedge to pander to the base and distract liberals from the bigger issues. While the GOP is feigning outrage about gay marriage over here, they're busy deregulating the banks over there. Carl Paladino hasn't gotten the memo that the GOP don't hate gays anymore.

What do you expect Ann Coulter to say?
This is canned-speech straight from the religious-bigot playbook, page 137.
She is predictable, that is: Ann Coulter is boring.
