Same here. But not a surprise. The yankees have always been alligned with the right wing fringe of the GOP. Since George "My Monument is bigger" Stienbrenner has owned the team he has aligned the team to among others Fox News Channel, GOP fundraisers and GOP managers. When was the last Black manager of the NY Yankees? Never. Is it a coincidence the yankees were the last team in baseball to have a black ball player? What about the fiasco behind the 7th inning "God Bless America" song. In the old stadium people were forced to stand and stay in the aisles for God Bless America. Did not matter if you had to urinate on yourself as was the case with one fan. He sued and won. Now you may go to the bathroom during God Bless America. Then you had Joe Torre campaign for G.W. Bush. Its ashame because i have been a yankees fan since 1969 and i dont think the yankees should be taking sides in politics.

FYI, Steinbrenner was a Democrat. It's in the book. He did hedge his bets though and he'd donate to both sides, as the full article indicates is likely in this case too. George was fairly apolitical.

It is like this dork mamala4 is sitting in his basement making up things that are not true so he can get mad about them and pass these made up stories off as facts. Sad part is he doesn't care if he made it up and he will keep spreading his lies.
