The Best Of College LipDub (WATCH)

Nobody can start a trend like Michael Scott.

For this who aren't in the know, LipDub is a one shot, amateur, multi-performer dub of a (popular) song. According to University LipDub, the first LipDub was done by six German students and took one semester and more than 60 "actors" to complete. The creators of the original LipDub invited colleges and universities worldwide to create and submit their own videos -- more than 60 have been uploaded to the site so far.

While they were all fun to watch, Calvin was by far the best one!!! Quality shooting, and funny/entertaining to watch. Far better than GVSU, no competition.........

Although it's a high school, this one is my favorite since the entire thing was shot backwards. The kid who filmed it took the song, played it backwards, then taught the cast how to sing it phonetically. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T7TI-AJi2O8

Okay, I confess I hadn't heard of this "LipDub" trend until seeing this article, but that first one by Calvin College is flat-out amazing. To me it's not even about the accuracy of the lip syncing, the part that floors me is that it's all one continuous shot. Static/near-static continuous shots are impressive enough but these people are all over the place. The videographers should get automatic internships at film studios, they've got what it takes.
