Minnie Driver & Hilary Swank Both Go Black In London (PHOTOS, POLL)

Minnie Driver and Hilary Swank stepped out to the "Conviction" photocall in London on Friday and both ladies chose little black dresses for the occasion.

Minnie went for a leather look with peep-toe stiletto booties, while Hilary's frock had a little flow and studding. She paired it with bronze sandals.

It's cute when little girls play dress up. Not so cute when aging actresses do the same (as in Minnie Driver). It's not the dress so much as the length of the dress. She could wear a longer version, wear stockings that disguise her wrinkly knees and forget entirely about the Ben Hur shoes.

leather is really tough to wear well, especially if it's a one-piece number. if it's good quality leather, it's too thick so it doesn't hang or drape well at all. and all peep-toe boots should be banned ... they're awful.

Not a fan of either dress/shoe combo, and I love both of these actresses. The black leather dress is so ugly and the neckline is pooched out with a gaping fold. She looks really uncomfortable in it. Hilary looks better, but pretty frumpy in that style dress.

I don't care for them. It's like they can't make up their mind what kind of shoe they are. A boot trying to be a sandal sandal or a high heeled pump in a turtleneck. I don't get it.

I can't say that I'm fond of either of their ensembles. Both of these woman work hard for their knock-out bodies & one of them looks like she's wearing a wrap around glad bag with arm holes while the other looks like she borrowed something out of her grandmother's closet. Whoever their stylist's are...they need to be fired!
