Republican candidate Blake Farenthold, who is running for Texas's 27th district House seat, came under scrutiny this week when images surfaced of him out for a night on the town with women in attire leaving little to the imagination.
In the pictures, which were reportedly taken last year and published online by thecrushgirls.com, Farenthold is dressed in pajamas featuring a yellow ducky design.
We The People Newscalled attention to the images on Thursday with a note confirming their authenticity. CrushGirls marketing director Tony Martinez tells Talking Points Memo that the pictures were not photoshopped.
Meanwhile, it didn't take long before Democrats seized on the unusual nature of the matter. The campaign of Democratic incumbent Rep. Solomon Ortiz, who Farenthold is vying to unseat, swiftly came out with a new ad featuring the congressional hopeful dressed in the duckie-clad clothes alongside women wearing much less.

Solomon Ortiz, who would have probably won by a comfortable margin, may rue the day he opted to run a negative campaign against his opponent. Blake Farenthold's family have been pillars of their community for generations. His grandmother, Annie Blake Morgan, was the daughter of prominent Nueces County farmer, Randolph (Rand) Morgan. She married and divorced George Farenthold who subsequently married Frances Tarleton (Sissy) Farenthold, Annie Blake later married Hayden Wilson Head, highly respected federal judge of whom U.S. Sen. John Tower once told the Caller-Times: "I've never heard a disparaging word about Hayden Head from anybody, and that's pretty rare in this business.''
By choosing to characterize an innocent fund raising event as S&M, Ortiz has succeeded in slandering the names of some pretty prominent families in this community and state.
Ortiz has stirred up a hornet's nest and just may get stung.
valleynative: Solomon Ortiz, who would have probably won by a comfortable
Hate to rain on this Huffington Parade, but the ad not only illustrates perfectly how Solomon Ortiz tries to deceive the public and skew facts, but it also highlights Blake Farenthold’s generosity and community involvement.
The pictures were from a pajama-themed party FUNDRAISER for a LOCAL NONPROFIT CHARITABLE organization. The lady in the picture is a member of the Crush girls, a respected team of young ladies who attend events promoting Corpus Christi. She was in a costume befitting the party theme.
Please check your facts before posting glaring headlines that are f a l s e and deceitful. And HuffPost junkies may want to take other blatantly outrageous anti-Republican, slur articles with a little--or a lot--more skepticism.

If they have a system to identify minors then I guess minors where expected and welcomed at this CHARITY event. But I guess implying something wrong was going on just was more fun for you. To bad Mr Farenthold has been declared the winner of the election.
