Ramapo College Bans Four Loko

MAHWAH, N.J. (WPIX) --
A New Jersey college has banned a popular caffeinated alcoholic beverage fearing they could lead to what officials call "blackout in a can."

Ramapo College in Mahwah took the action after nearly two dozen students were hospitalized for alcohol poisoning soon after the start of the fall semester.

I was recently introduced to this drink a couple of weeks ago. A friend of mine had 1 can of it and was completely drunk by the last sip...this stuff seems like it will make you do some crazy things (no pun intended).

If a little kid got hold of this like that kid whose dad bought him a Mikes Hard Lemonade at the ballpark it would kill him. This stuff is dangerous and looks to much like a standard energy drink

You're telling me, we had three guys drinking that on my floor, by the end of the night we had 7 fights and 2 broken doors...

MMRDO: This stuff sounds like it causes some major personality changes and death if too much is drunk. Stay away from this stuff if you can and away from those drinking it. maybe it needs to be banned. Do you know the position of the FDA on this drink yet? Has there been any studies done?
