Shop Owner Arrested After Codeine Found In Store's Candy Jar

A Berwyn man and his employee spent National Bosses Day in court Saturday, after authorities found a revolver and about 1,500 codeine pills on sale for $5 apiece at a corner store on the West Side, police said.

A revenue agent on a routine check Friday afternoon stopped at the H&Y Food Store at 3825 W. Chicago to ensure cigarettes were being sold properly and not bootlegged, authorities said.
