Interesting. A fairly right-wing town - Colorado Springs - embracing government jobs.

Some will balk - no, no, those are Defense jobs, those are what keep our country strong!

And yet, what is the most communistic entity in the US government? The Department of Defense. There you go! You join the armed forces and your life is owned by the US Government. Everything you need is taken care of by the US Government.

Who is the communist-embracing group of today? That's it - the right wing.

Everybody deservses a government job!
And TP - I know this is HP,where actual logic is kind of in 'bad taste',but could you tell me how you reached the conclusion the DOD is 'most communistic'? Take your time.Ask your friends. Then get back to me.

Hey, my dad and my uncles were in the military as well as my friends' children. There is no choice in the armed forces - the government makes them for you. All of your needs are taken care of by the government. You can not leave without permission and sometimes you cannot eat without permission. Communism, dicatorship whatever. Don't let your ideology fool you.

That study didn't count military personnel. Factor in DOD spending and employment in the Springs/El Paso County area and you have the most socialistic economy in the US with the possible exceptions of Alaska and DC.
