Junior Seau Drives SUV Off Cliff After Being Released From Jail: Report

TMZ reported this morning that former NFL linebacker Junior Seau was arrested on suspicion of domestic violence. After he was released from jail, Seau reportedly drove his SUV off a cliff in Carlsbad, Calif.

According to the report, Seau was injured in the crash and was taken to a local hospital.

He was allegedly released from jail around 3:20 a.m.

UPDATE: Seau was released from Scripps La Jolla Hospital today, according to TMZ.

I don't know the man. But this has the familiar ring of somebody on steroids. I read of athletes driving their cars into walls or done all sorts of stupid stunts. Afterwards they would be very sorry for doing that, saying that the steroids made them crazy.

I always respected him as one of the best players in the NFL. Here's hoping there's more to this than meets the eye. He was a leader and an inspiration to many. It'd be a shame for that to go to waste now.

Amazing that the San Diego media never mentioned the probability of alcohol or that he may have been on the phone. I bet the police did the "test" on his blood alcohol finally today, after they got their autographs. Doubt they will get his phone records either. His PR person is making it all look and sound so sad for Seau. But they fail to mention he was arrested for Domestic Abuse. Of course he was only in jail for an hour. Common folk wouldn't be out that soon and they'd be tested an tested again for alcohol. Celebrities and athletes get away with murder and more.

sounds like they have done test and have found nothing so far. Since the initial test show no drugs or alcohol the more extensive ones will probably show nothing in about a month also.
