The mother of Broncos rookie quarterback Tim Tebow is taking a public stand in support of Amendment 62 on the Colorado ballot, the so-called Personhood amendment.
Pam Tebow, who earlier this year starred with her Heisman Trophy-winning son in a commercial for the conservative Christian organization Focus on the Family, said in a statement Monday "a child's right to life begins at conception, not at birth... thus, I support the Personhood amendment."
The Personhood amendment would legally define life as beginning at the beginning of biological development, thus banning abortion and many forms on contraceptives.
A similar ballot initiative in Colorado was trounced in 2008.
Tim Tebow has not spoken out on the issue.
