Two female Winona State University students were shot and injured Saturday night, according to the Star Tribune.
Neither of the victims, who are both 19, are in life-threatening condition -- one woman sustained a leg injury and one was shot in the abdomen. The shooter, who has been described as a college-age man, has not yet been identified and security at the university has been increased until he is apprehended.
The shootings took place sometime between 10:30 and 11 pm in an off-campus house. Apparently, the two women were arguing with the gunman before he fired and ran off.
Students told WXOW News that the shooting is an example of homecoming partying gone awry. Winona State junior Gary Snorek, who lives close to the location of the shooting, told WXOW that many people in the area "were drinking all day."
"I never thought this would happen right here, right in front of our house, you know? I mean I've heard of other incidents happening and things like that, but it's never right outside your house," he said.
The identities of the two women have not been released.
