Ken Buck's Lead Erodes In Another Poll

Buck

A Rasmussen poll showing Colorado Senator Michael Bennet inching closer to Republican challenger Ken Buck is proving to be more than just an outlier.

A Fox News/Pulse Opinion research poll performed over the weekend and released Tuesday shows Buck leading by just one point (46-45) among likely voters. A Fox News/Pulse poll performed in late September had Buck up by 4 points, 47-43.

In the latest Fox poll, Bennet leads among women 48-41, while Buck leads 50-42 among men. Bennet also holds a commanding lead among younger voters, polling at 50% among 18-39-year-olds. Buck holds a commanding lead among seniors.

Buck spent much of last week fending off attacks that he acted insensitively when he declined to take an alleged date rape case to jury as Weld County DA.

Colorado has drawn intense national interest this campaign season. Already determined to be the nation's biggest target for independent political groups, the state saw the amount of outside money thrown at political races double to $23 million last week.

After thirty years in Texas, I finally escaped to Colorado. Please don't do this to me. Don't elect this terd.

Great post, but not sure if i was laughing or just cringing when I read it. I moved here to Colorado 30 years ago. Which was when that "cow-town" label for Denver was spectacularly correct and it appeared that all of our politicians and legislators were nothing a bunch of male grizzled, cantankerous ranchers without a brain in their heads, unless you call a consistent far-right mentality mislabelled as "a stubborn streak of independence" a brain.

So god, I sure hear you. I must repeat what you said, however, on my own behalf: PLEASE DON'T DO THIS TO ME EITHER!!!!

Because, Mom, if this doesn't work out we clearly are both going to need to move to California. I hear that out there they even believe in global warming.

There are more women, gays and minorities to offset the men that support this tro11!
05:06 PM on 10/21/2010
He must be losing the gay-republican-and born that way-vote. I understand that he still has the I-forced-myself-to-be-gay vote though.
10:56 AM on 10/21/2010
Colorado women, if you know any of these men who are supporting Buck, I suggest you get them in line. It's an absolute travesty and speaks very poorly of those anonymous males that there is any split between men and women on Buck. He seeks to relegate women back to the 1800s. His views on abortions and reproductive rights and rapes are far right of even the Tea Party. He's the most dangerous and worst candidate I've seen here since 1978, which is when I moved here.

You know, if my husband indicated he was going to vote for Buck, I'd divorce him. Colorado women are not chattel.

I understand how you can feel the way you do. Please acknowlege ken as well as Micheal are being hit very hard with outside money. I know Ken - he is not the monster you have been lead to believe he is... His office has put numerous offenders way whom have attacked and acted as preditors on women. One man is cserving 135 years, I know an other that are serving life sentances.
All from the man whom you bleive would set womens rights back to the 1800's. Ken is not a monster - he is married to a women whom he loves, has a daughter whom he loves, has served women of the Weld County area and protected them Yes, even the rape case that has made so much attention. Ken showed the case inter-office two women who are now judges said they could not win the case. And - the Boulder DA was consulted, THE BOULDER DA!!!!!,. Ken did put his foot in his mouth, and was certainly inappropriate in his buyers remorse comment. However, he did save this younf woman from having her name drug throught he dirt and public humilation. Have you never miss spoken, have you always been perfect in the performance of your job?? I have not!! What I am urging you and any readers on this link to consider is Ken Buck is the right person for the job. It is all about the JOBS STUPID!!!!.
12:30 PM on 10/25/2010
Sorry, I'm a woman. That makes Ken Buck a monster. I really couldn't care less if you know him personally. It's what he's said he believes in, which he intends to inflict on half the people in the United States--meaning women, that's the problem. And your argument that Buck "could not win" that rape case? Prove it. Last time I checked confessions were pretty compelling trial evidence, not that cases with confessions usually go to trial anyway. I was not born yesterday. I don't vote for men who prefer rapists over victims.

As for jobs? You haven't been paying attention to the jobs our Democratic incumbents have brought in. Or that Buck, who will obviously vote straight Republican, will simply block stimulus funds, meaning Colorado won't get any. And for the icing on the cake, then he'll block any continuation of unemployment benefits.

No more crap either about this outside cash for Bennet. Tell me about the Chamber of Commerce supporting Buck. Whose chairman said we need to stop whining, because outsourcing is here to stay, and it GREAT!

You want women to have rights? You want Colorado to have jobs? Then you have no choice but to vote for Bennet.

This is really a 'no brainer' you would think. buck ranks right down there with odonald, miller, paladino, mcmahem, witmun, bokmun, ohmert, and the other nuts running this year.

My daughter, my wife and I have all voted for Bennett, and against 60, 61 and 101. Buck's views on outlawing abortion even for victims of rape and incest will cost him this election. He really is too extreme for Colorado.
09:08 PM on 10/20/2010
Any father with daughters as I have, should be sick to they're stomach to think that Buck would force those girls to have a child from rape or incest. ALL other issues aside, that one Buck opinion has cost him 8 votes from our family.
03:14 PM on 10/20/2010
Bennet has my vote. While he's not perfect, he's truly trying to make things better and I believe he's trying to help the state as a whole. I fear that Buck will get into office and try to push a few extreme social issues and do nothing else. He's just too creepy.

What blows me away is our Govn race Maes won the primary, then bam two time tank spends his money walks and talk with the "Dog" crowd yes the bounty hunter and looky here the repub party will only poll 8-19% of the vote here. Its amazing its great and I just want dems, independents, greens, and other third parties to take on the true wackos and lay to rest the lieing hypocrite crowd for good what ver their party affiliation is.

This may be the start of a revolution where in 2010 and 12 you see an emergence of smart people that have good ideas and just never had the political room to sell a really great idea in some cases. Why discuss what an old white guy believe gay is, but not jobs, lets cut schools spending, not talk about independent energy, why bring up settled entilement law, and not options to pay for higher education, why discuss healthcare reform that past and is working as we speak and not the wars, why bring up the stimulus that saved 3million jobs and created est 1million so far this year to say it didnt work? These candidates are simply dry running to see what the rich can work with and thus the candidate will make their living voting for BP, KBR/Haliburton or China.
How else do we explain $50million dumped into ads for repubs that will win a seat that pays $150K/year!
07:51 AM on 10/21/2010
Exactly.

And ... people with that kind of money - only spend $50million when they expect a huge Return On Investment.

What % of Return on Investment are they expecting?

Truly, an election where the choice is the lesser of two evils. That sucks! I'll be holding my nose as I cast my vote for Bennet because the evil Buck represents is of the worst type!

Our CO Primary was Stolen by Obama for Bennet. To those that say our Colorado Democratic Primary was not stolen, we offer the following evidence:

Gov. Ritter appointed Bennet even though none of the recommendation emails that Ritter asked for mentioned Bennet even once. The Denver Post said that the Obama White House pressured Ritter to appoint Bennet.

Prior to our primary vote:
Obama endorsed Bennet prior to our Caucus, County Assemblies or Primary vote.
Obama directly raised Hundreds of Thousands of Dollars for Bennet in Denver.
Obama Personally Campaigned for Bennet in Colorado and elsewhere.
Obama caused 460,000 Robo-Calls to be placed to Corado Dems with his endorsement.
Obama Joined a 20,000+ telephone conference call to Colorado Dems with his endorsement.
Obama caused thousands of Telemarketing Calls to be made to Colorado Dems From Washington DC, just prior to the Primary on Aug. 10.

Our corrupt State Democratic Party leaders allowed OFA to officially organize for Bennet and do it out of the State Democratic Party offices.

The DNC and DSCC gave all their Colorado Senate race money to Bennet, thus financially handicapping Romanoff and removing him from prime individual donor lists and preferential media treatment,

A huge Breach Of Trust With Rank & File Colorado Dems.

To get our Honest Primary back send a strong message to our Corrupt State and National Party Officials by

WRITING-IN "Romanoff"
or
Just Leaving the Space next to Bennet's Name "BLANK"

We need and Honest Primary in 2012.

Why don't you just vote for Ken Buck and save us all your endless screed. Even Romanoff supports Bennet. Your side lost in the primary. It was completely fair. Stop posting this same diatribe day after day after day.

I hate them both, but Buck is horrible.

This country needs to rework it's election process. Two parties is an utter failure.
