Anarchist For Mayor! (VIDEO)

First Posted: 10/20/10 02:28 PM ET Updated: 05/25/11 07:05 PM ET

In this election season, how easy is it to discern the distance between some of the actual, earnest campaign ads and an ad that's intended as an outright parody? Adam Frucci of Splitsider highlights the ultimate test case with this hilarious video, directed by Aaron Glaser, with Sue Galloway of "30 Rock," playing Sandra Larson, Indianapolis mayoral candidate running on the anarchist platform. "Larson" proposes any number of things that could make Indianapolis more interesting. For instance, in her Indianapolis, residents would be allowed to do all sorts of things with and to panda bears. Maybe too many things!

Anyway, please enjoy (and bookmark Splitsider). And for the benefit of my readers from the Ludwig von Mises Institute, let me repeat: this is a parody, it is not a real person.

If I were elected...I'd do away with the 2 main parties...and since we are civilized(meaning that we all don't work in the fields and don't need to elect a rep. to be our voice)we all could vote on line for every bill....issue a DEATH PENALTY for any foul play(hackers)who try and sway the votes one way or the other...and take the lobbyist out of the picture completely!

Don't let ignorance stop you from voting for some thing or people you know nothing about, thats the tea people way. Sarah is their hope for a better life, also she's not different looking.

With no law, how could anyone collect rent?

This is credited incorrectly. It was written, directed and filmed by Aaron Glaser of the Upright Citizen's Brigade Theater.
Either way, she'd have a decent shot if she were running for Governor of NY.
