LeBron James Declares Today 'Hater Day,' Shares Racist Tweets

Posted: Updated:

NBA star LeBron James, who started his own twitter account in July, declared on Tuesday via twitter that the day was "Hater Day" and shared racists tweets that were directed at him.

"I just want you guys to see it also," James told ESPN on Wednesday. "To see what type of words that are said toward me and towards us as professional athletes. Everybody thinks it is a bed of roses and it's not."

One person tweeted that James is "a big nosed big lipped bug eyed (racial slur)."

Another tweeted, "hey good game last night, too bad you're a fraud, B--CH."

James responded and said, "U see world how people feel! Just use it as extra motivation in whatever u do best! No one can stop your dreams from becoming reality!"

The new member of the Miami Heat said last month that race was a factor in the negative backlash he received after deciding to leave Cleveland to join the Heat.
